  • Apply orange peel well pulverized with water to the acne-affected areas in your body.

  • Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
  • Grind nutmeg (jaiphal) with unboiled milk and apply on acne for 1-2 hours. Pimples should disappear without leaving a mark.
  • Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
  • Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and acne.
  • Drinking of wheatgrass juice may remove acne.
  • Make a paste of salt in vinegar. Rub it on the pimples. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Diet For Acne
  • Drink at least 8 glass of water a day. Water not only maintaining the skin’s elasticity but also clears skin and eliminates waste from the body.
  • Take Aloe Vera juice in the morning as well as night for a good time.

Tips To Maintain Your Hygiene

  • Wash your hands, after using the toilet, before and after handling a tampon or pad, before eating, and after touching an animal. And wash it properly for 30 to 45 seconds, scrubbing between fingers and under nails.
  • Before drinking any juice or cold drink clean the can opener. That little bit of juice or food left on the blade after you open a can invites bacteria growth. Washing or even just rinsing the opener after you use it will prevent problems.
  • Change the towels. Hang towels unfolded to let them air dry, and replacing them with clean towels after three uses. Don't share it with anyone.
  • Protect your toothbrush. Every time a toilet is flushed, fecal matter and bacteria spray 20 feet in the air. Keep your toothbrush out of the line of fire by storing it in a drawer, cabinet or other enclosed place.
  • Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, use tissue when possible.
  • Exercise mats are generally drenched in sweat, so it would be wise to wash them down before using. But you can do one better and bring your own mat instead.
  • Never forget to wash your socks and do not keep them wearing through the week.
  • Do not ignore any infection or skin related disease in their first stage. Look out for a good doctor and prevent disease to spread further.
  • It is advisable to always shower after a workout to wash off the sweat and therefore feel clean and refreshed afterward.

  • Cut back on bath and shower time. Take cooler or lukewarm showers instead of hot ones.
  • Pat yourself dry gently with a towel, rather than rubbing.
  • Pay special attention to lower legs, which tend to be dryer because they’re farther from your heart.
  • Protect your skin from the sun. Winter sun can be as dangerous as summer sun
  • Air your home, and turn down the heating. Use a humidifier, especially in the bedroom.
  • Apply a water-in-oil-type moisturizer and gently pat your skin dry.
  • Wear light clothes made of cotton.
  • Protect yourself from the wind by covering your face and using a natural oil based lip balm.
  • Try to avoid extreme cold, which can cause frostbite or skin disorders in some people.
  • Carefully choose a good moisturizer developed for dry skin.
  • Use heavier creams or ointments during the winter months and lighter lotions in the summer.

Dry skin has parched look caused by its inability to retain moisture. Dry skin has a low level of sebum and can be prone to sensitivity. It generally occurs on the shins, hands, sides of the abdomen, lower legs, arms, flanks, and thighs. Dry skin is more common during the winter months, when humidity is low. Elderly people tend to have more trouble with dry skin due to the natural changes in skin that occur with age.

  • Blend banana and papaya to create a puree. Dab the puree on the skin and let it sit for half an hour.

  • Mix half teaspoon honey with the yolk of an egg and one table spoon dried milk powder. Mix into a paste and apply, remove after 20 minutes with water.
  • You can substitute margarine or vegetable oil as moisturizer
  • Smear honey on your body and wash after 5 minutes
  • Rub coconut oil or avocado oil on the afflicted area
  • Fill up a tub with milk and warm water and dip in.
  • Grind a ripe papaya and rub the pulp on the face. It will make the facial skin smooth and soft and enhance the beauty.
  • Apply glycerin oil on dry hands and feet
  • Mix the powder of 10 corns of black pepper in a tea spoon of clarified butter. Take it daily in the morning for 2 months
  • Rub oatmeal on hand, wash and put hand cream.
  • Massage the face with almond oil or olive oil every night before going to bed.
  • Use mineral water to wash your face instead of warm water
  • Take the yolk of an egg and dab it on your face leave for 15 minutes. keep using this pack everyday till your face is clear
  • After bathing applying Aloe Vera gel.

Diet for Dry Skin

  • Eat a diet that includes vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, nuts.
  • Eat food rich in quality protein.
  • Increase your intake of raw foods since they contain more naturally occurring water.
  • Eat foods such as garlic, onions, eggs, and asparagus that are high in sulfur, which helps to keep the skin smooth and youthful.
  • Consume plenty of yellow and orange vegetables. These are high in beta-carotene, an antioxidant.
  • Drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated.

Oily skin is a problem for many of us. Oily skin conditions come on a level par as a problem for both genders. It affects 1 of every 2 teenagers (girl and boy.)

In this type of skin, the oil producing sebaceous glands are overactive and produce more oil than is needed. The oil oozes and gives the skin a greasy shine. The pores are enlarged and the skin has a coarse look.

  • Make a puree of fresh tomatoes, apply to the Oily skin
  • Make a mixture of 1 spoon curd,1 spoon tomato juice, 1 spoon multani mitti, 1 spoon honey and little amount of kapur. Apply this mixture on your face.
  • To prevent the problem of your makeup becoming patchy either on the forehead, chin or nose due to excessive oiliness in these areas, apply a little cucumber juice on the excessively oily parts of your face, dry thoroughly and then apply your makeup.
  • Apply dark brown clay mask or mud on the skin to cleanse the skin
  • Mix one tablespoon youghurt with fuller's earth and apply. Youghurt itself can be applied on the face. It helps to soften the ski of water in the fridge and splash this cold water on your face 3-4 times a day.
  • Simmer 2-3 tablespoons of lemon grass or rosebuds in a cup of water. Steam your face with the vapors for 15-20 minutes, then splash your face with cold water.
  • Make a pulp of raw papaya and apply. Papaya has a cleansing action, softening dead skin cells and aiding their removal.
  • Wash your face 3-4 times a day with cold water. Cold water will not only leave you feeling refreshed but will also tighten the pores.

Diet for Oily Skin
  • Diet rich in proteins but restricted in sugar, fluids and salt is good for oily skin.
  • Take plenty of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.
  • Take good sources of vitamin B2 and B5 like nutritional yeast, wheat germ and organ meats whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly.
  • Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water each day. It flush out toxins from the body.
  • Avoid sugar, chocolate, and junk food.

Causes of Under Eye Dark Circle & Its Treatment

Main causes of dark circle

Home Treatments

  1. Close your eyes and cover eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply a cream.
  2. Apply a mixture of lemon and tomato juice (equal parts) on the dark circles 2 times a day.
  3. Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice
  4. Crush some mint and apply it around the eye.
  5. Massage with almond oil under and around eyes at bed time daily for 2 weeks.
  6. Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule and wipe off with a mixture of honey and egg white. This will reduce darkness around the eye.
  7. Put warm and cold piece of clothes alternatively under eyes for 10 minutes. Then apply some almond oil on the dark surface.
  8. Application of used cold tea bag will soothen the eyes and cure dark circles of the eyes.
  9. Drink tomato juice with some mint leaves, lemon juice and salt. This is a good diet for dark circles.
  10. Make a mixture of lemon juice, cucumber juice and lanolin cream. Apply under the eyes and keep for 10-15 minutes.
